MIKE Bergthold

 Mr. Bergthold began his professional career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen after obtaining his BS in Accounting from Arizona State University. Serving in various executive roles in industries such as financial services, health care, real estate, transportation, IT services, and manufacturing, he has developed a national reputation as a skilled strategic planner, as well as a highly skilled operations manager. Engaged as a consultant in many turnaround and distressed situations, Mr. Bergthold has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to implement turnarounds, raise capital, and successfully negotiate with lenders and investors. He is as proficient at developing and implementing marketing plans and training sales staff as he is at reducing costs and negotiating service and supply contracts.

In many cases, Mr. Bergthold has led his clients through the complex legal processes of formal and informal reorganizations, Chapter 7 and 11 filings, ABCs, etc. In these situations he has developed creative reorganization plans and brought unity to often disparate creditor and investor classes resulting in renewed, recapitalized and viable business enterprises.

Often he has been recruited to assist start-ups and adolescent companies dealing with the organizational, management and psycho-social relationship issues so common to start-ups. As a result Mr. Bergthold often serves in a continuing role as a member of the Board of Directors or an executive officer. In 2011 he co-founded a San Diego based clinical diagnostics laboratory that has been profitable since its first year of operations. In his multi-faceted roles he has created the sales and marketing organization, recruited new management personnel and raised equity capital, and is now expanding this successful enterprise into new markets across the South West.

Currently residing in North County San Diego, Mr. Bergthold is active in many professional organizations, an active oceanic paddleboarder, and travels extensively with his wife, Sheree, who is also a highly successful entrepreneur. He and Sheree have two grown children.
