DOUG SHARP, CPA

Doug has over 27 years of experience providing finance, accounting and consulting services to businesses in many industries, including manufacturing and distribution, construction, mining, software and IT. He has worked with both public and private companies, from start-ups to $200 million in revenues, enhancing business value through improved systems, profitability, cash flow and balance sheet management, financial reporting and tax compliance. Doug worked at a national CPA firm for 8 years and has served in CFO/Controller roles for over 19 years. Doug manages Sharp CPA, PLLC, an accounting and consulting firm he founded in 2007.

Doug has experience with IPOs and other security offerings and has helped sell a number of businesses for clients at favorable valuations.  He has expertise in GAAP, SEC reporting, mergers and acquisitions, accounting system conversions, financial modeling, business valuations, ASC 740 (FAS 109) deferred taxes, IRC Section 382 NOL regulations, and complex GAAP consolidations.  

Doug is a member of Vistage International Trusted Advisors, the American Institute of CPAs and the Arizona Society of CPAs.  He has been married to Amy for 20+ years, has a son and two daughters, and is an avid soccer player and coach.
